We are currently seeking two (2) .NET web developer stars to contribute to the ongoing design and improvement of PlayAction, our signature product. PlayAction is a cross-platform social game community that enables fans to play along with live sports. PlayAction’s customers include broadcasters, brands, major professional sports leagues and teams throughout North America.
You must be a self-motivated, team player with the ability and passion to see projects through from conception to completion within prescribed time frames. You should be committed to learning and staying current with software development approaches, practices, and technologies. The position is demanding, requiring a diligent and focused individual with a strong desire to build great products. Responsibilities:
You will have broad technical responsibilities including:
• Designing and implementing new internet applications using .NET
• Contributing to architectural and technical design
• Leading and contributing to code and design reviews
• Contributing to the review and analysis of business requirements
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring web developers
• Understanding competitive products and technologies and contributing to our strategic vision
Skills:
• Expert knowledge and programming in a .NET environment for web applications, including: ASP.NET, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of, and experience with Flash is an asset
• TCP/IP network programming
• Familiar with XML and SMPP protocols to SMS aggregators is an asset
• Experience with Web Services in .NET 2.0 and 3.5 is an asset
• Experience with n-tier web development and web services
• Solid understand of GUI design, web usability and user-centered design
• Familiar with Agile software development methodologies
• Familiar with SQL Server, writing queries and stored procedures
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent reasoning, analysis and problem solving skills and the ability to document ideas clearly and concisely
Education and Experience:
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent technical degree
• 5+ years increasingly responsible development roles
• 2+ years in a lead web developer role with proven examples of success
