Who You Are...


You are responsible for supporting Hootsuite’s social media content publishing and advertising programs. With over 2 years of experience building online communities, you provide recommendations for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Hootsuite’s social media channels. Your day in the life includes: monitoring social networks; engaging with Hootsuite’s online community; delivering actionable monthly metrics; and multiple high fives.


You contribute to Hootsuite’s social media strategy and play a major role in its execution. You are empathetic and a strong communicator, able to adapt your voice to Hootsuite’s brand while being mindful of your audience. You are comfortable being uncomfortable, see ambiguity as opportunity, and thrive under pressure – whether it’s last-minute copywriting or quickly pivoting a campaign.


You're Great At...

  • Thinking creatively, innovating on social media best practices, and proposing new ideas

  • Creating social media content and supporting publishing across Hootsuite’s various social media channels, using an editorial calendar
  • Testing new channels, and reporting back on behaviors of new communities

  • Using analytics platforms like Hootsuite, Google Analytics and uberVU to deliver monthly reports about share of voice, traffic driven, growth of channels and engagement

  • Testing. Failing. Learning. Optimizing. Performing

  • Being funny, making jokes, and responding like a human to mentions of Hootsuite on social

  • Supporting the growth and maintenance of Hootsuite’s social media channels

  • Building an audience and reaching more people by focusing on engagement growth, reach and impact across social media channels 

  • Monitoring, analyzing and measuring conversations with customers, influencers, competitors and brands
