POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY:
We are recruiting for a Software Developer to join our team. This role will perform a wide variety of duties relating to the design, development, maintenance, support and enhancement of ACL software in a team based agile Development environment. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring software products are produced on time in a high quality manner.
MEASURES:
• Assist in all phases of the development cycle, including planning, research, development, testing, documentation and implementation
• Provide code construction; including coding, compiling, debugging, unit test design and execution, and program documentation
• Tracks ongoing effort according to agile development philosophies
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Job knowledge/technical skills:
• Good knowledge in Java (J2EE & EJB frameworks, Eclipse RCP, Eclipse development environment)
• Good experience with Open Source software
• Good knowledge of software development techniques and best practices (design patterns, SOA, etc.)
• Development experience using Agile methods (e.g. Scrum)
• Knowledge of (or interest in) software architecture
• Ability to work with team members in specific areas of technical expertise
• Working knowledge of other technologies: C/C++, Relational databases, SAP, data access, XML, HTML, Apache, Geronimo, TomCat, application security (LDAP, directory services), encryption/crypto
Experience:
• 1-5 years of software development experience
Education:
• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent
