Currently seeking an experienced Software Developer - Web for our fast-paced Vancouver office. The ideal candidate is driven to build the absolute best software and contribute to the team’s overall greatness – you love to learn, you love to code and you’re passionate about seeing your work come to life in a best of breed product.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with dynamic software development team to define requirements, translate to quality code, test and deploy
  • Interact with product owners to convey technical issues affecting functionality and timelines
  • Respect existing coding standards / framework but contribute ideas and enhancements to help improve productivity and team happiness
  • Keep up to date with latest tech / industry trends and help the team evolve by sharing your knowledge

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience developing end to end web applications, with particular proficiency in any of:
  • Front end (HTML/CSS/Javascript)
  • Middle tier (PHP, Java, Scala)
  • Database (MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Understanding of and experience with the supporting infrastructure of a web application (memcache, cron, asynchronous processing)
  • Hands-on knowledge of APIs for major social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+)
  • Strong writing unit and integration test capabilities

Bonus Assets:

  • Additional programming languages – Ruby, Python, Perl
  • Experience with build pipeline, continuous integration, configuration management
  • Active in the social media space and networks
  • The ability to laugh and Foosball under pressure
