GIG: Our client, a game development house that provides worldwide, leading edge consumer games is looking for a talented software engineer to join their professional development team. This position requires experience and understanding of development for an online platform (web-based and MMO gaming), from implementation to testing to deployment.

WHEN: Looking for a candidate to start immediately working from the client site (as you will be working with a team). Fulltime contract.

Must Know:

  • Client-server and/or P2P architectures
  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS and XML
  • C++ and/or Java
  • Profiling and debugging server-side application

Nice to Know:

  • Flash and Actionscript
  • MySQL and/or Oracle
  • Apache, Servlet Container and JSP
  • Unix administration and scripting
  • Building highly reliable and scalable clustered server application
  • Exposure to encryption algorithms (SSL, RSA, …)

Education:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
