Location: Lakeland, FL (Polk County)
You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate enterprise servers, their operating systems, and related software systems and applications. You will possess technical expert knowledge of enterprise server software and hardware, including developing enterprise wide standards for the maintenance, capacity planning, availability, continuity, security, and performance tuning necessary to support organization-wide Information Systems. You will serve as a security advisor for server/systems related security processes. You will implement the enterprise server/systems strategy and architecture including performance, capacity, availability, continuity, and security management. You will implement the policies, procedures, and standards regarding server/systems performance, capacity, availability, continuity, and security. You will be accountable for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of the companys enterprise servers/systems and associated resources.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree.
MCSE in Windows 2000 or 2003.
Must have technical team lead experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering including design, installation, maintenance and management of enterprise server / systems infrastructure equipment (cabling, servers, operating systems, monitoring tools/systems).
Experience designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise storage, archiving, and backup and recovery technologies
Experience designing, implementing, configuring and maintaining high availability enterprise systems (load balancing, clustering, etc.)
Enterprise level patch management experience.
Experience participating in Corporate Disaster Recovery Planning projects as either a vendor assisting a customer or as a technical lead in a corporate environment.
3+ years experience with MS operating workstations and server systems (Windows 9x, NT, 2000)
Knowledge of LAN and WAN theory and technologies.
In depth knowledge of server technologies, operating systems, and security.
Proficiency in the use of server/systems/applications monitoring systems & analysis systems or tools.
In depth knowledge of server operating systems - Windows, Unix, Linux, Novell.
Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and SMTP.
Knowledge of storage, backup, and recovery theory, design, and technologies.
Knowledge of database, application server, and middleware platforms, tools, and technologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MUST be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
