About You

You bring a minimum of 5 years of systems administration experience managing complex, high availability server environments. You are diligent and hardworking and enjoy departing your expert knowledge through mentoring of junior team members. You enjoy problem solving and are not afraid to put in the time when necessary. About the Opportunity

As a Bayleaf Senior Systems Administrator, you will have the following important tasks:

• Handle day-to-day hardware, software, network and managed services support duties inside the company, at clients' and at our co-location facility located nearby;
• Setup and support both physical and virtual Windows server environments;
• Configure, install and support server hardware and software including Dell servers, Cisco switches, firewalls, VOIP, SANS;
• Setup and support Windows desktop workstations;
• Maintain thorough documentation and system run-books;
• Provide off-hours and on-call support for emergencies;
• Supervise and mentor junior systems team members;
• This is a full time position with a requirement for flexible working hours.

You bring the following with you:
• 5-years or more of experience with setup, administration and support of Windows 2003/2008 and Linux Server environments and Windows desktop machines;
• A Technology Diploma or relevant certification from an accredited institution is required;
• Ability to communicate with solid written and verbal communication skills;
• Organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and problem solve;
• Experience configuring and maintaining web servers and applications including IIS, Apache, DNS, ColdFusion Application Servers, as well as MySQL and MS SQL databases;
• Experience with Active Directory and network configuration / support, including Cisco firewalls, VLANs and routing;
• Experience with VMWare VSphere, ESXi and VMotion;
• Familiarity with MS Exchange and IMAP Mail Server support, iSCSI SAN support, Symantec Backup Exec and Nagios
• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco switches and Cisco VOIP phone systems;
• Experience with high availability environments including hardware and software based load balancing solutions.
