Job description
Working in close cooperation with Product Development department, the test specialist will have to carry out tests, validation and quality assurance on various products and platforms. He must have a great capacity to function in a dynamic and changing environment. Having strong abilities to learn, the tests specialist will have to keep his technical knowledge up to date in computer technologies and data base and server systems.
Roles and responsibilities
• Creates tests protocols based
• Updates regression protocols
• Carries out tests protocols
• Carries out exploratory testing
• Reports tests results in an appropriate database
• Validates work instructions and procedures
• Takes part in the creation and configuration of tests and validation environment.
• Keeps his technical knowledge up to date
Qualifications and experience
• University degree in engineering or IT, or college diploma with relevant experience
• Relevant experience with automated tests systems
• Experience with databases systems
• Experience with tests associated with large database softwares
• Knowledge of RUP/ClearQuest is an asset
• Knowledge of scripting tools
• Knowledge of systems with applications server is important
• Knowledge of Windows systems configuration
• An aptitude for team work, technical exchanges
• Ability to communicate in French and English, spoken and written
• Ability to perform in a dynamic environment
• Ability to manage and resolve problematic issue
• Flexibility regarding the tasks to be carried out
