Digital Payment Technologies Corp. is looking for an experienced Unix Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will be working as part of an information systems group which is responsible for all Digital enterprise and customer based solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in new infrastructure designs for corporate and customer data centres
  • Implement design changes and additions using standard industry practices
  • Document and manage hardware and software implementations
  • Implementation and audit security processes across all platforms
  • Perform routine technical audits of systems
  • Analyze and optimize system components
  • Configure and manage performance monitoring tools and notification services
  • Configure and support backup systems and processes
  • Maintain patch levels on all systems
  • Assist on Payment Card Industry (PCI) annual audits

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years computer systems diploma from an accredited post secondary institution
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in systems level administration of Linux or Solaris 10 servers
  • Experience with DNS (Bind) and SMTP protocols
  • Experience configuring and supporting Apache, Tomcat and MySQL
  • Experience working with the Cisco IOS
  • Experience working with load balancers and network monitoring tools
  • CCNA designation a plus
  • SCSA designation a plus
  • Knowledge of NIDS and HIDS systems a plus
  • Knowledge of HSM devices and implementation a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem solving skills
