Eventbase Technology is a rapidly growing mobile technology company with a global client base. We power official apps for high profile brands, including three Olympic Games, SXSW, Disney, Sundance Film Festival, Comic-Con and many more.
We’re looking for a UX Design Lead to direct Eventbase’s product design across a variety of mobile app platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, mobile web) while working with some of the top event producers in the world. This position will be responsible for working with our core development, management and design teams on new features for our products and clients, directing usability improvements and championing Eventbase’s UX design culture and growth. This is a full-time position working in our Vancouver head office.
Your primary activities will include:
Lead the UX design team and work with management and development leaders on envisioning and planning new features and design improvements in our core product offering
Adapting stakeholder and customer feature requirements into IA and UI/visual design deliverables
Developing UX IA designs including concept sketches, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for our user-facing mobile event platform as well as our client-facing back-end administration tools
Planning and conducting user research including persona development and usability studies
Daily collaboration with the development team to bring UX design to life in our core product software
Promoting strong standards for usability and user-centered design organizational practice
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
3+ years of interaction design, with experience planning and crafting complex interfaces, mobile applications and websites
1+ years of UX leadership experience with ability to manage, coach and motivate other team members
BS/BA in Interactive Design, HCI or related degree preferred
Agile UX experience
Knowledge of usability heuristics, UX best practices and patterns for mobile and touch applications
Experience working with clients and internal stakeholders and helping manage project requirements
Expert proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Fireworks, OmniGraffle, Keynote and other UX/UI design and prototyping software
Experience planning and running usability studies, providing visual/UI design and copywriting preferred
Excellent organizational, leadership, teamwork and communication skills
