Vice President, Merchandising

This position is responsible for overall strategic buying and merchandising elements of Technologies Limited, dba, with an emphasis on growing overall footwear selection. The VP will work within a team environment and provide leadership to other members of the company to assist in growing sales. The role will be accountable for all merchandise and buying details and will oversee complex inventory management systems, in addition to executing strategic buying initiatives with new and existing brand partnerships.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the acquisition and long-term relationships with brand partners across all lifestyle and product categories
• Supervises merchandising & inventory departments
• Develop consumer desirable brand partnerships to drive consistent growth of the website’s customer base
• Build a “never-out” product program to ensure the end consumer will find the best core products at any time thus building a loyal customer base
• Manage brand profitability through terms, discounts, extended dating and closeout/outlet opportunities
• Drive targeted brand and lifestyle campaigns in conjunction with multiple departments that offer compelling experiences to our customers
• Collaborating with other executives and senior management, create a long-term growth strategy for the organization
• Research and identify new category opportunities that will distinguish the organization as the clear leader in online footwear, accessories and apparel
• Measure and analyze new and existing competitors to stay ahead and always be the leader


10 years+ experience as a buying executive, with 5 years+ experience in each of the following:
• Online buying with proven results covering all categories of footwear including performance (athletic, action sport, outdoor), fashion (junior, moderate, designer), comfort, casual, children’s, industrial and western
• Previous senior level experience overseeing on-line retail sales budget $500M+
• Applied business and financial acumen in rapidly growing E-Commerce business
• Experience in vendor relations initiatives to support multiple departments including marketing campaigns, advertising, press releases, marketing materials, retail presence
• Experience working with factories to identify and oversee manufacturing of private label brands
• Experience in e-commerce is required along with bricks and mortar retail and wholesale
• Extensive online buying experience, including in-depth knowledge of: Open to buy, Product flow, Margin/Profitability analysis through IMU, MD, MU and vendor terms, Monthly, Quarterly and Seasonal Product Planning, Expected sell through and turn by brand, product and season
• Experience in brand management and brand launch over long term and rapid growth.
• Buying and vendor partnership management experience to maximize profitability while maintaining strong relations
