The Role

We’re looking for the creative eye at Payfirma. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing all things design for the in-house marketing team.

The Web Designer plays a vital role in the success of the marketing team and is responsible for pushing the Payfirma brand forward. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing, Content Strategist, and front-end developer to create and maintain compelling digital experiences for the company website, lead generation campaigns, and sales initiatives. The ideal Web Designer is comfortable working autonomously with little supervision, while still meeting our goals for lead generation, customer engagement, and brand awareness. A strong portfolio is required for this position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and iterate on existing and new marketing projects including but not limited to sales collateral, digital content, product packaging, and corporate branding
  • Own the creative process from brainstorming and ideation to asset and development hand-off
  • Manage the web development process and work alongside our front-end developer to make sure designs and interactions are implemented to spec
  • Work across all teams to ensure we have consistent design elements across Payfirma
  • Communicate freely, giving and receiving feedback on various projects
  • Schedule and lead design reviews
  • Work on internal graphic and web design requests when needed


  • 2+ years experience in a similar graphic or web design role
  • Education in a design related field or a portfolio of real client work
  • Expert working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in responsive web design specifically using WordPress CRM
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to work cross-functionally with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
  • Proactive self-starter, not afraid to roll up your sleeves

Bonus Points

  • Experience working freelance or in a project-based environment (Extra points for startup experience!)

Interest in new technology

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Use of productivity and project management tools like Trello, Harvest, Jira
  • Active portfolio on Dribbble, Behance, or other design platform
  • Experience in photography and video
  • Experience in print production
