Pixelera Inc. is seeking a Web Developer. In addition to working with ASP you will develop multimedia applications with Flash and Director.

This person must be able to program in ASP, as well as use the Macromedia suite of tools (Flash, Director) to develop multimedia applications and internet templates.

This person must also have knowledge of HTML and Internet Standards. Pixelera adheres to W3C guidelines and uses CSS extensively. Knowledge of Dreamweaver, basic HTML editors and HTML validation techniques are vital to this position.

The Web Developer will be responsible for helping to plan, create, populate and maintain client Web sites. In collaboration with the Project Manager the Web Developer will develop and execute plans for the development of web and multimedia projects, in addition to identifying and investigating development strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate your web development skills in an energetic, team-based environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software programs using web-based technologies in the Microsoft Windows environment
  • Design and write code in VBScript, JavaScript and ASP
  • Implement new and maintain existing features in Pixelera products
  • Develop internet Multimedia applications with Director/Flash
  • Making modifications to existing Multimedia applications
  • Standard software development lifecycle skills (design, code, review, document, test)
  • Work closely with designers and developers and report directly to the project manager

Skill set required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with developing applications in VBScript, JavaScript and ASP
  • At least 2 years experience programming in an commercial web development environment
  • Good knowledge of Macromedia Flash, Director and Dreamweaver
  • Team and customer service-focused
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Good analytical and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    Assets:

  • Web-related technologies including XML
  • Experience working with Government Common Look and Feel standards
